PROFESSIONAL:  Mark graduated from the University of Texas, Austin in 1971 with a BBA in Accounting. For the last twenty years, Mark has worked as a life and health insurance agent. He began as a career agent with MONY and later moved to Sun Life of Canada. For the past fifteen years, Mark has functioned as an independent agent. He specializes in group and individual coverage, including estate planning, buy-sell agreements and voluntary benefits.  After Katrina, Mark and his wife, Barbara, temporarily moved to Houston, Texas where Mark became associated with the Cravens/Warren Insurance Agency, a 60-plus year property and casualty agency. He not only serves as the agency’s specialist for life and health needs but also became licensed in property and casualty insurance.

PERSONAL: Mark S. Greenberg was born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in Jackson, MS.  He has lived in New Orleans, LA for the past 39 years.  For over 40 years Mark has been married to Barbara Barton Greenberg, an independent educational consultant. Mark and Barbara have three children. Mark Jr. and his wife Jennifer Claycombe Greenberg have three children, Mark III age 5, Adelle age 2, and Charlie age 1. Sean is married to Diana Presley Greenberg, and they have one child, Parker, age 1. Mark and Sean own Pluckers Wing Bar, a chain of sports bar restaurants headquartered in Austin, Texas. Their daughter, Lauren, is married to Devin John Wakeman. Lauren is employed by General Growth Properties as Marketing Manager of the Riverwalk in New Orleans, and Devin is with Waters Parkerson, N.O. Mark enjoys attending and watching sporting events, playing poker, and spending time with his grandchildren and granddog, Bella.

COMMUNITY: Prior to Katrina, Mark served on numerous community boards.
