PROFESSIONAL: Cynthia Donnes has a BA in History with a Paralegal Studies minor (ABA certified) from the University of New Orleans, and has been an adjunct faculty instructor since 1988, teaching Bankruptcy, Legal Ethics, Introductory courses and the Notary Public course for the University’s Paralegal Studies Program. She has published CLE seminar materials and was a speaker for the New Orleans Pro Bono Associations as well as private seminar groups. She is a certified Mediator, registered with the Louisiana State Bar Association; a member of the American Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Division; and formerly was a trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of Louisiana. PERSONAL: Cynthia was born in Memphis, TN and has lived in New Orleans since high school where she attended Cabrini High School and Grace King. COMMUNITY: Cynthia is a volunteer Advocate for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for Juvenile Court in the Parish of Jefferson and is active with fundraising committees for Friends of CASA-Jefferson.
